Flappers
Flappers were young women who embraced the new fashions and urban attitudes of the day. The new clothing were close-fitting fet hats, bright waistless dresses, skin-toned silk stockings, pumps, and strings of beads and pearls. The women would cut there hair in short boy-like bobs and dye there hair jet black. The change in style made women more assertive and rebellious. They became smoking and drinking in public.
"In the 1920s, a new woman was born. She smoked, drank, danced, and voted. She cut her hair, wore make-up, and went to petting parties. She was giddy and took risks. She was a flapper."

Dresses
These were the kinds of dresses women would wear in the 1920's. People did not like this new style because they believed it to be very revealing and scandelious. When this came out it was not the normal innocent dress usually worn.
