Double Standard
In the 1920's women started breaking out of their typical stereotype created by society. Women began "running wild" by showing more skin and going against traditional family values for the era. This double standard gave women this new kind of confidence. They started smoking and drinking in public with men, and this would have never been allowed. During this time morals loosened a little bit. Before world war one, women were just for marrying, but after casual dating started occurring.Double Standard was mostly about "opening up." Men and women could talk about sex out in the open. Men started to casually date instead of just find one person to marry. Woman supposedly had these rights, except they were frowned upon if they were to casually date men.
